My moto in the post Covid world has become “take the trip”. Yes, it is my job to book travel for clients, but travel is also what helps us learn. Travel helps us make memories with our family, escape the schedules and predictability of every day life and see what new things we can discover. Sometimes those new things are big, like visiting a new country and sometimes they are small, like playing a game of bingo.
While sitting on my computer over 4th of July weekend, I decided to book a cruise for my boys and me. It left in 10 days and was one of the best decisions of summer. Sometimes the instant gratification of a trip is part of the excitement. I told the kids and the countdown began.
While the cruise visiting places we’d been, we still wanted to do something new. This trip it was room service and bingo. And I know that doesn’t seem that exciting, but it was the best part of the trip for the kids. They ordered “Dinner B” every night and we played their first game of cruise ship bingo.
The trip doesn’t always have to be about conquering the big things, sometimes it just just as amazing to do something small.
