Disney Destiny celebrates the idea that everyone has a story, whether hero or villain. This theme is woven throughout the ship’s design, entertainment, dining, and character encounters. You’ll see iconic Disney, Pixar, and Marvel characters represented in fresh, imaginative ways that feel both familiar and excitingly new.
I know you read that and think it sounds promotional, but what does it mean. It means so many things! You are joined on your sailing by two story tellers and they open the doors for a variety of experiences from a Cruela deVil fashion show to Loki interactions in the Grand Hall and so many more. There are a lot of unique interactions. One of my favorite was tasked with rewriting Cruela deVil’s song that ruined her reputation with the help of a piano player in duress.
Pride Lands: A Lion King–Inspired Dining Experience
One of the most talked-about features of Disney Destiny is Pride Lands, a stunning new dining experience inspired by The Lion King.
This immersive restaurant transports guests straight to the African savanna, with warm colors, sweeping visuals, and artistic details that celebrate Simba’s journey. Expect:

A menu influenced by African flavors alongside family-friendly favorites. Don’t let this scare the picky eaters. It was a very toned down African-inspired menu aimed to please almost anyone.
It’s not just dinner—it’s an experience that engages all the senses and brings Disney storytelling to life right at your table.
The colors and vibe in this restaurant was my favorite. The colors are warm and inviting and it was just a very nice experience. While I love the Frozen dining experience on the Disney Wish, the color palate and design here was a lot more relaxing.
Broadway-Style Entertainment: Hercules
Disney Cruise Line is debuted an all-new stage production of Disney’s Hercules, created originally for the West End in London and now available on the Disney Destiny.
Whether you’re a longtime fan of the movie or seeing Hercules’ story for the first time, this production is designed to be one of the most memorable shows ever offered at sea.
The music from Hercules and some of my favorite and the talent in this show was phenomenal. I will say it is hard to live up to Danny DeVito’s charcter, but it really was an amazing show. Highly recommend.
Super Hero Minnie & New Character Experiences
Disney Destiny introduces Super Hero Minnie, a brand-new character look that perfectly fits the ship’s heroic theme. Minnie takes center stage in a bold, powerful style that’s sure to be a favorite for photos and meet-and-greets.
This meet-and-greet just made me smile ear to ear. I have always loved Minnie and seeing her in a fun costume that I would have wanted to wear as a child made me very nostagic.
